About the event
The 2026 National Multicultural Conference and Summit (NMCS) coordinators are pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2026 NMCS Awards. Below is a summary of each award. We look forward to receiving your nominations. Please help us spread the word by sharing this with your networks.
Rising Star Award: The goal of this award is to support the efforts of an early career psychologist (within 10 years of graduation) with an interest in multicultural research, teaching, advocacy, policy, and/or clinical care.
Shining Star: This award is presented to a mid-career psychologist with a demonstrated commitment to multicultural research, teaching, advocacy, policy, and/or clinical care.
Elders Recognition: This award celebrates those who have made a lifetime commitment and significant contributions to multicultural psychology through their roles as scholars, scientists, teachers, mentors, practitioners, and/or advocates for rights and causes.
Nominations and all supporting materials must be received by September 19th, 2025. Send nomination materials to both Tina Lincourt, PhD, at tina.nmcs@gmail.com and Samantha LaMartine, PsyD, at samantha.nmcs@gmail.com. Please use the following subject line: Award Nomination_ Name of Award.
Awards will be presented at NMCS 2026 in Seattle, Washington.
